I have been involved in the media industry almost since its beginnings in Poland, that is, since 1996. During all these years I have been passionately learning about the media and have had the opportunity to gain experience in communicating with brands from various industries, thanks to working with dozens of clients from completely different sectors of the economy. I got to know marketing communications from many perspectives, thanks to working both on the side of the largest international media houses (Universal McCann, Leo Burnett, Initiative, MediaCom, Maxus), dealing with increasingly vast areas, including management of the entire business; and on the side of the Client (at Orange) and the media.
To put it modestly, I was able to gain a fairly broad perspective and experience.
Throughout this time, however, what I found most exciting was communicating the brand to the target audience. I was fortunate to work for clients who were just starting out and it was clear from the beginning that they would fight for leadership positions in their categories. This gave me the opportunity to co-create campaigns to launch brands such as Play or Alior Bank, for example. I derive great satisfaction from the implementation of social campaigns. These are extremely difficult projects, requiring the activation of close, personal relations with the media. It is thanks to their heart and empathy that we are able to realize them. Being part of or authoring such campaigns, I have a deep sense of a higher meaning. It may sound pathetic, but it gives me great joy to be involved in things that create a better world.
I have served on the jury of the EFFIE Awards and Media Trends competitions many times, which has given me additional insight into the best practices of marketing communications
Poland.
If I had to list them in one exhale, it would certainly be - my wonderful daughter, cinema, neuromarketing and storytelling. Cinema came first, which is why I hosted the „Microfilm" program on the iconic Radio Station almost twenty years ago. In addition, I was a reporter and DJ, so I also know radio from the production side. My love for cinema has not faded, so today you can watch my original format on Youtube „Cinema in a tube". As for other passions, let's leave them for our personal meetings.
