Media People delivers a campaign for NOBU
Media People is executing a campaign for NOBU, a luxury hotel by Robert De Niro, Nobu Matsuhisa and Meir Teper.
The first NOBU in Poland, will open as early as summer 2020. In the nearly 30 years that have passed since Nobu and De Niro opened their first restaurant, the pair's joint venture has grown to sizable proportions. After opening the Japanese restaurant „Matsuhisa” in Los Angeles in 1987, Nobuyuki „Nobu” Matsuhisa became a sensation among Hollywood celebrities. His approach to Japanese cuisine was unusual, with Nobu combining traditional Asian recipes with elements of Latin American cuisine. In 1993 Robert De Niro invited the master chef to work on a joint venture, which was a New York sushi restaurant called Nobu. It opened in 1994. It turned out to be a great success and soon other Nobu restaurants began to spring up. The friendship between the two men resulted, among other things, in their joint appearance in Martin Scorsese's „Casino,” but it was in business that the Nobu - De Niro duo were to achieve their greatest successes.
Over the next 27 years, their joint company, in which New York restaurateur Drew Nieporent and film producer Meir Teper are also partners, opened more restaurants around the world. Today there are a total of 40 of them.
Since 2009, hotels under the Nobu name have also begun to spring up. Their number has been growing exponentially in recent years. As recently as 2017 there were 7 hotels of the chain worldwide, by the end of 2020 there are expected to be 20.
All properties in the Nobu Hotel chain are characterized by a combination of contemporary design and the tradition of Japanese minimalism. They are complemented by unique culinary experiences that guests can look forward to.
Nobu Matsuhisa is famous for his fusion cuisine, which combines Japanese culinary tradition and Peruvian recipes in a modern way. He worked for many years as a chef in Peru, one of the most fashionable countries culinarily today. His most famous dishes, such as black cod with velvety miso sauce, will also be on the menu at Warsaw's Nobu Hotel.
The Robert De Niro Hotel will be built on the site of another well-known hotel in Warsaw. It will replace Hotel Rialto at the intersection of Wilcza and Emilia Plater. The modernization and expansion of the building will cost 100 million zlotys. Medusa Group, a studio with many revitalizations of industrial buildings (such as the Bolko Loft in Bytom), is responsible for the concept.
This studio also designed the interiors of Warsaw's Koszyki Hall, located just steps away from where the Nobu Hotel is being built. Also, part of the interior of Robert De Niro's hotel was designed by Medusa Group (in cooperation with PCH studio). In addition to 117 rooms and a restaurant, Nobu Hotel Warsaw will feature a wellness area, Nobu Café, Nobu Bar and event space.
